Today was the worst day of the tour, because we had to leave Holland.
We got picked up and taken to the train station, only a couple hour ride, no big deal, and the 2 transfers were both leaving from the same platform we arrived on, easy. But somehow this is the time we left a bag on the train, Mark’s personal bag. And since this isn’t an airline, there is no luggage tracking and the bag went on to Switzerland. They are trying to get it, but there is no guarantee it wasn’t taken by someone else. We’ll see if it ever shows up.
But today we made it to Wurzberg, Germany and were picked up by 3 Americans which was refreshing. The pastor was from North Carolina and had a pleasant southern accent and the two others with him were from New York and New Jersey. Plus, they were all military men, so all the instructions we sent them were followed to a “T”. It made for a good day.
They took us to the church to eat and we stuffed our faces with some good German food, since we were all hungry after not getting breakfast. Then a quick sound check and to the hotel.
We were able to get a quick nap, then returned for the show. It was at a small church, but the crowd was much more responsive than we expected, and all the people were a delight.
After the show they served us some great Filipino food.
