This was a fun and quick weekend with 2 shows with Ethan. One in New Brunswick, NJ and one in Colorado Springs, CO. The NJ show was with a full band which was fun, we were able to take our friends Brandon Shaw on bass and Ryan Maloney on guitar. We played at the State Theater, which was across the street from our hotel which made for a nice commute.
After the show, me, Eman, Gene and Ethan flew to Denver (Ryan and Brandon flew home the next morning as the CO show was only Eman and myself). Denver is funny, the airport hotels are a 20min drive from the airport which is where we stayed. The next morning we took a 1:30 drive to Colorado Springs to play at the 27th Annual National Space Symposium.
The Symposium was really cool and we were able to check out some of the exhibits. For those of you wondering what the NSS is, it is basically a conference where all the companies doing space things can get together and what each other are doing. There was everything from space hotels to satellites that had been in space.
The whole things was held at a 5-diamond, 5-star luxury resort which was quite impressive. Unfortunately Eman and myself were not able to stay there but got to spend a bit of time there.
It was pretty awesome, and they loved us. The biggest disappointment of the trip was when Eman got to meet BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY who was attending the symposium, and I didn’t get to. Next time!
