Brazil 2010: Day 6 – São Jose Dos Campos

Posted Ryan Brazil, Christafari

This is the last of the ‘easy’ days on this tour. Once again, waking up for breakfast (me and Tyrone were the only ones that made it this morning) and going back to bed. Then waking up again for lunch, but today lunch was at a very delicious buffet a couple minutes from the hotel with some pretty bomb chocolate cake. We then returned to the hotel and had an hour to get ready for the show.

We got to the venue at 5pm which was about an hour and half before we actually needed to be there. The other guys were setup but neither of my keyboards nor my keyboards stand were there, so I had a lot of sitting around to do. The food in the green room was good and they had some delicious açai for us with nuts and bananas that I was able to enjoy during all my sitting.

Eventually everything showed up and thanks to our sound man, Chris, sound check went quickly and smoothly (uncharacteristic of sound checks in Brazil). The show was supposed to start at 8, but since it’s Brazil we started at 8:30. The room was the best one we have had this tour in terms of acoustics, the crowd was great, and nothing went wrong with my gear. All this made for a great show for me. :)

Now it’s 1:30am and we have to be in the lobby in 3 hours to take a bus to the airport to fly to Brasilia… I probably won’t sleep until I get on the plane. The next 3 days are 3 shows in 3 different cities, fortunately we are all well rested for the short nights to come.

Good night!
