So, it turns out we’re not exactly in San Jose, but in the province of Alajuela. Since our flight left this morning at 2:36am and I surprisingly didn’t get much sleep on the 5 hour flight, once we got in and had lunch (which was great), we went back to the hotel and I got myself a nice 5 hour nap!
Lunch was great, I didn’t understand anything the waiter said. But we got several pitchers of fresh fruit juice to share on the table, including Strawberry (my favorite), Mango and Passionfruit juice. They brought several appetizers out before the main course, first fried shrimp and cheese ball things, then calamari, then some other fish thing I didn’t try. I ordered the Filet Mignon which was fantastic! Which was no surprise when you realize it comes with a STRIP OF BACON on it!
Now, I’m coming out of the nap, and soon we’ll be going to dinner. I’m excited for it, but I’m not sure if it’s going to be at the Denny’s across the street…. (which would be ok).
